099
Concept
099 Supply treats design assets like collectibles in a finite run: only ninety-nine slots, each released when it meets an internal bar for usefulness and craft. The numbering scheme (C 000, M 025…) turns a generic shop into a slowly unfolding puzzle that sparks completionist impulse and keeps the community checking back.
Visual Language & Motion
The interface is radical in its restraint: deep-charcoal canvas, hairline grid and monospaced “inventory” numerals that feel lifted from warehouse labels. Hover a tile and it rises with a 2 px parallax shadow; “FREE” tags pulse via a single keyframe, proof that micro-motion can guide attention without banners. Bundle pages swap hue-shift backdrops to echo product categories—components in electric cyan, mockups in warm tungsten.
UX & Performance
Every mockup thumbnail streams as a low-res JPEG, swaps to AVIF on intersection and pre-loads only the next three items, keeping LCP ≈ 1 s even on 3 G. Checkout lives in a Stripe modal, so context is never lost. Variable-font headings scale with clamp()
, and all colour pairs hit WCAG AA against #0E0E0E.
Takeaway
099 Supply shows that micro-commerce can be a design artefact: scarcity framing, ruthless minimalism and disciplined performance combine to create a store that’s as inspiring as the assets it sells.
