Design notes

Ait turns the camera housing on a MacBook into a compact, context-aware island. It keeps Claude Code, Codex and Cursor sessions, GitHub checks, music playback and timers within reach, expanding only when there is something useful to show. On Macs and external monitors without a notch, it can display a virtual island.

Built natively with SwiftUI and AppKit, Ait uses small, glanceable interactions instead of a persistent dashboard. Its expanded view also offers dictation, clipboard history, a file shelf and quick actions. The app is in public beta and supports macOS 14 or later.
