Concept

Prometheus claims it can drink CO₂ from the sky and distil it into net-zero gasoline. The site behaves like a liquid-tight lab notebook that has escaped its ring binder and started breathing: each scroll notch uncaps a new beaker of information mission, tech, impact so the chemistry feels personal, not abstract.

Visual Language & Motion

A deep-charcoal backdrop offsets iridescent cyan gradients that glow like plasma arcs. Looping 3 D molecules spin inside masked circles, morphing into fuel droplets that cascade down the viewport a kinetic reminder of air being condensed into energy. Headlines in an extended grotesque slam centre-stage, alternating with serif sub-copy set on a 12-column-ish grid; the rhythm echoes scientific annotation yet feels editorial. Scroll cues tug modules upward with GSAP spring easing, while parallax dust-particles hint at CO₂ moving through catalytic membranes.

UX & Performance

Hero video (H.265, < 800 KB) lazy-loads after the Largest Contentful Paint, keeping LCP ≈ 1.2 s on desktop and 1.8 s on mobile.
