Design notes

djay won the 2024 Apple Design Award for Spatial Computing, recognized for its immersive Apple Vision Pro experience, and also runs on iPhone and iPad. Its expressive decks and music-focused controls translate a physical DJ setup into a digital instrument.

On mobile, layered controls, waveform visualization and direct manipulation keep performance actions close at hand. The broader cross-platform design explores how tactile musical interaction can scale from a touch screen to a spatial interface.
