Cookie Policy

How we use cookies
Refs.Gallery aims to keep tracking minimal. We may use cookies (or similar tech) for:
- Security and abuse prevention (e.g., rate limiting and protecting the service).
- Analytics and performance (understanding aggregate usage and measuring performance).
- Diagnostics (error reporting to help us fix issues).
Third‑party services
Always on (no tracking cookies, needed to run and improve the site):
- Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights (cookieless, aggregate analytics and performance).
- Sentry and PostHog error monitoring (diagnostics when something breaks).
- PostHog product analytics (EU Cloud) in cookieless mode: no cookies or browser storage, and visits are counted with an anonymous identifier that PostHog derives on its servers and rotates daily. In this mode it records page views, a few named actions (such as saving a project or submitting a form) and error reports, not clicks.
- Your own preferences stored in your browser, such as theme and saved projects.
Only with your consent (these set cookies or record how the page is used):
- Google Tag Manager.
- Yandex Metrica, including session recording (Webvisor).
- Microsoft Clarity, including session recording.
- Sentry Session Replay for a sample of sessions.
- PostHog cookies, click autocapture, heatmaps and session recording (form inputs are masked).
Your choices
On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing in the consent-only list above loads until you accept, and declining is as easy as accepting. Your choice is stored in a refs_consent cookie for six months, after which we ask again. You can change it at any time with Cookie settings in the site footer; withdrawing consent removes those analytics cookies.
You can also manage cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or limit cookies). Note that blocking some cookies may affect the site’s functionality.
