Design notes

Raycast brings the fast, command-driven workflow familiar from its Mac app to iPhone. Its mobile experience combines AI Chat, Notes, Snippets and Quicklinks in a compact workspace, with search and navigation designed to help people move quickly between short, frequent tasks.

The redesigned Raycast Keyboard is one of the most interesting interaction decisions. Dictation, text correction, AI Commands, snippets and GIF search live beside ordinary typing, making powerful actions available inside other apps. The customizable action row and keyboard themes give the user control over both utility and appearance.

From a product design perspective, Raycast is a useful study in progressive disclosure and cross-device consistency. Widgets, Shortcuts, share-sheet actions and the keyboard extend core functions throughout iOS, while the main app remains a place to organize content. Some features, including parts of cloud sync and the keyboard experience, depend on a paid plan.
