Laven: Baby Sleep Sounds

Design notes

Laven treats bedtime as a quiet, repeatable routine. Its dark, low-glare visual language and restrained controls suit moments when parents need to start a familiar sound without navigating a complicated interface. The player puts continuous playback at the center, with favorites and bedtime presets close at hand.

The sound library combines white, pink and brown noise with ambient recordings such as rain, ocean, fans, heartbeat and lullabies. A timer fades audio out gradually, while Lock Screen controls and Home Screen widgets reduce the need to reopen the app. The experience works offline, with no account or advertising.

From a product design perspective, Laven is an example of reducing friction around a recurring task: recognizable artwork, focused playback controls and one-tap presets support quick use in low-light conditions. Optional Pro features extend the library, timers, presets and layered sound mixes without interrupting the core playback flow.
