Bump - real life is happening

Design notes

Bump - real life is happening explores a real-time social location app for friends. Its visual direction makes a useful reference for designers working on social networking experiences, especially where the product needs to feel immediately recognizable on a small screen.

Look closely at map-led presence, playful identity details, and lightweight touchpoints that encourage offline connection. The most instructive part is how those decisions establish a recognizable personality while keeping the primary task legible and easy to reach.
