Design notes

grug commits to a tiny world and follows through. Hand-drawn marks, a deliberately rough visual language and cave-person writing carry from the daily wisdom to interface details, giving even a custom status bar a reason to exist.

The app asks very little of the user: open, read, reflect and perhaps share. That simplicity makes the design personality especially visible. It is an example of how a narrow interaction model can support a memorable product when illustration and voice are developed as one system.
