Shawn Golden

What it is

This is the personal website and portfolio for Shawn Golden, who identifies as an animator and creator of jokes and writing. The site serves as a central hub for his creative work, newsletter, and social media presence on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Structure & content

The page is organized into a primary work section featuring projects such as Big Jeans, Glen, and Death Sexting. Navigation is facilitated through a series of symbolic icons and labels including a newsletter link, a gallery section, and a contact email. Additional elements include a location and temperature display for Detroit and a dedicated button for generating jokes.

Why study it

The site demonstrates a non-traditional navigation system using a dense string of symbols and icons instead of standard text labels. It also showcases a distinct personal voice through unconventional copywriting that blends professional credits with absurdist commentary.
