Design notes

Bear builds a quiet writing environment from typography, generous spacing and a limited set of visual signals. Markdown formatting stays readable as you type, while a restrained navigation system lets the document retain most of the screen's attention.

Underneath that calm surface are tags, links between notes and tools for navigating longer documents. The design lesson lies in progressive disclosure: a personal knowledge system can grow in complexity without making every note feel like a dashboard.
